NEWS COMMENTARY FROM A CENTER-RIGHT PERSPECTIVE. WITH SOME FLAG WAVING THROWN IN.

Let’s start out with my usual lame excuses for my absenteeism. I just spent the last three weeks having both my front and back gardens renovated. Notice I said having, I was supervising and providing buckets of money to make my “digs” greener, with no weeds, and getting rid of some really ugly shrubs. Well, it looks very nice now, I get a nice warm feeling when I look over my humble castle, then the realization sinks in I’m now $5,000.00 in debt to the credit union for all of that labor and materials. Geez, have you bought any flowers lately? My first trip to Lowes for a relatively small amount of poesy’s came to a whopping $180.00. These weren’t exotic plants, they were run of the mill annuals. Now I realize why I put this off for so long.

My last trip to Lowe’s was quite hilarious. While standing in line at the garden center, I read a sign that said Lowe’s now sells bugs for your gardens. I couldn’t wait to talk to the cashier to see exactly what kind of bugs they were selling. Turns out they are selling Lady Bugs and Praying Mantises. As I was driving home, I couldn’t stop thinking about that. Both of these insects have wings and are able to fly pretty much anywhere they darn well please. Think about that for a minute. How many people buy these bugs and get surprised when they move on to greener gardens? I wonder if these bugs come with a disclaimer, saying don’t blame Lowe’s if your bugs decide to go somewhere else.

CRAZY NEWS CYCLE LATELY, WHERE DO WE START?

Let’s start with Iran. Turns out trying to negotiate with what’s left of the Iranian regime is a bit like herding cats. Trump has squeezed them really hard financially to the point their inflation is over 200%. Their money is virtually worthless. They can’t sell their oil, so if they quit pumping due to lack of storage, the wells may not ever produce again. The top three tiers of the regime have been killed. The Ayatollah is incognito; no one knows if he is alive or not. But the meatheads won’t capitulate. I think the only comparison you can make is these people are harder to eradicate than cockroaches. I’ve heard it said if the world population was annihilated by a nuclear holocaust, cockroaches would be the only survivors. I think realistically you would now have to include Muslims. Think about it, these people endured the Crusades, and have been killing each other for thousands of years and there are still two billion of them roaming the planet. They are like piss ants, my exterminator has been making money off me for ten years killing these pesky little bastards and they keep showing up. Someone needs to figure out how to chemically castrate the male Muslims spiking their favorite food. Works on insects. This would be a great project for Israeli scientists. I’m just delighted to be 85 years old; it won’t be my problem a whole lot longer. Good luck in the future.

CALIFORNIA DREAMING

Anyone that thinks the Republicans will ever get a seat at the table in California are out of their minds. The Democrat machine in California has been carefully constructed over the past forty years to weather the most severe political storms. Even though Arnold Scharzenegger served two terms as governor, ending in 2011, the Democrats never lost control of the state house and senate. One of the mainstream media outlets made the statement that although Steve Hilton was in the lead, there were still four million votes uncounted. (mail in ballots) How do you think that is going to turn out? I live in Oregon (little California) I can tell you exactly how it’s going to end. Steve Hilton or any other Republican ain’t likely to reside in the governor’s mansion in my lifetime.

BERNIE SANDERS COMES ALIVE

Until the recent lurch to the left by the Democrat party, ol’ Bern has been like some sort of plant that has been lying dormant through the long winter months. Suddenly the environment warms up and ol’ Bern begins to rise up and blossom. That sudden burst of warmth was Mamdani. Bernie couldn’t believe it, a real honest to goodness commie running for NYC mayor. It was a dream come true. Bernie and his little commie girlfriend AOC couldn’t wait to share the podium with a real live commie. But wait it was even better this commie was also a Muslim. A twofer.

Folks this is who Democrats are, don’t ever forget it. They want to destroy our Republic for their own twisted views of a socialist paradise. There has never been anything close to a socialist paradise, but there have been many examples of socialist hell holes, even worse if they are coupled with religious extremists. The ignorance of a certain segment of the American population is astounding to say the least. Never stop fighting this horrible movement that has risen up in our wonderful nation.
