POLITICALLY INCORRECT CENTER-RIGHT PERSPECTIVE OF CURRENT NEWS EVENTS.
NOBODY IS WATCHING OUT FOR THE FOLKS EXCEPT BILL O’REILLY.
I’m sure most of you know, that’s Mr. O’Reilly’s catch phrase. But I’m pretty sure he’s a lone ranger. Do you remember when they had government offices that were dedicated to consumers? If they’re still around, they’re around in name only. I remember when the government used to police corporations and call them out for overcharging for goods and services. Haven’t seen that in a while now.
I’ve written about this in the past, the first time I remember corporations pulling this stuff was years ago. We were in the middle of a serious recession and the toilet paper companies shortened the toilet paper rolls a significant amount and charged the same amount for them. Corporations were getting killed, sales were in the basement. You have to give them credit for this sneaky move, they started packaging toothbrushes, and other essential items two or more to a blister card. You had no choice; you were no longer able to buy just one. Great way to double and triple your sales literally overnight, in a horrible economy. But it was such a great idea, they couldn’t give it up. They are still doing it.
Remember Biden holding a news conference on “shrinkflation”? He was actually pointing out what I am talking about, and he was totally correct, even though he was trying to shift the blame away from himself and the Democrats for the terrible inflation. The point here, is he was laying out the truth that corporations were screwing the public, the government knew it and did nothing to protect the consumers. Why didn’t somebody ask him what he was going to do about it?
It’s obvious why the Uni-Party doesn’t reign in the corporate world for price gouging, the big corporations own the Uni-Party. Are you going to tell your boss how to run his company? I tried it once or twice and found myself unemployed both times. The Uni-Party is no longer afraid of the voter, corporate America can put anyone they want in office. Corporations are in charge, they run this country, Congress is just there for show. You just witnessed almost four years with no viable President in office. Do you have any idea who has been running this country since the last election? If you know, please let me know. So, I’m thinking having someone in the office of the President now optional.
